By notices 2018/C 345/07 of 27.09.2018 and 2018/C 345/08 published in the Official Journal of the European Union, the European Commission announced the impending expiry of the anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures in force on solar glass originating in the People’s Republic of China.

If a request for review is not filed, the measures would expire at midnight on 15 May 2019. On 03.09.2018 the measures on Chinese solar modules had already expired without extension.

Union producers may request a review

The only way to obtain an extension of the measures would be to initiate a review of the measures. Union producers may make such a request in writing to the Commission. Such request shall be accompanied by sufficient evidence that the expiry of the measures would be likely to result in a continuation or recurrence of dumping or subsidisation and injury.

Should the Commission then decide to review the measure, importers, representatives of the exporting country and Union producers will have the opportunity to comment, rebut or supplement the facts set out in the review request.

Applications may be submitted to the Commission by 15.02.2019 at the latest.
