The EU Commission has decided to suspend the import duty on all imports under the tariff quotas at a reduced rate for certain cereals
This follows from Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1115/2012 of 28 November 2012 temporarily suspending import duties on certain cereals for the 2012/13 marketing year; OJ L 329, 29.11.2012, p. 14.
The exemption concerns Commission Regulation (EU) No 642/2010 of 20 July 2010 on import duties in the cereals sector, which expires on 30 June 2013. The import duties for the following varieties are affected:
- Common wheat other than high quality (CN code 1001 99 00)
- Barley (CN code 1003)
The exemption applies to all transport operations commenced no later than 30 June 2013 with the objective of the European Union. Proof can be provided by the respective original of the transport document.
