The new Maritime Trade Act has been in force since 25 April 2013 and was published in the Federal Law Gazette on 24 April 2013. It has therefore been in force since the following day.
All freight, forwarding, storage and charter contracts concluded after this date are therefore already subject to the new law with its amended requirements.
