Attorney Dr. Tristan Wegner reports in the Deutsche Verkehrszeitung (No. 011/14) that general terms and conditions of forwarders who act as regulated agents are invalid. If these goods are damaged when they are scanned or inspected, they shall be liable for such damage. Dr. Wegner explains that alternative pricing models can be an alternative. He also strongly advises regulated agents to check their insurance cover.
