Anti-dumping proceedings initiated against flat-rolled stainless steel products from China

By Notice 2014/C 196/07 of 26.06.2014, the European Union (EU) initiates an anti-dumping proceeding against imports of flat-rolled stainless steel products (cold-rolled only) originating in the People’s Republic of China (CN) or Taiwan (TW). The product under examination is currently covered by CN codes 7219 31 00, 7219 32 10, 7219 32 90, 7219 33 10, 7219 33 90, 7219 34 10, 7219 34 10, 7219 34 90, 7219 35 10, 7219 35 90, 7220 20 21, 7220 20 29, 7220 20 41, 7220 20 49, 7220 20 81 and 7220 20 89.

The application was submitted on 13 May 2014 by EUROFER on behalf of producers representing more than 25% of the total EU production of cold-rolled stainless steel flat products.

The Commission is now examining whether there is indeed dumping in relation to this product. Provisional anti-dumping measures may be adopted within nine months and definitive anti-dumping measures within fifteen months. Affected companies and interested parties currently have the opportunity to participate in the proceedings.

If you have questions about the effects of the anti-dumping proceedings on your company or would like to participate in the proceedings, we will be happy to assist you!
