The International Trade Commission (ITC) of the United States of America has decided to impose anti-dumping and anti-subsidy duties in the USA on solar products from the People’s Republic of China and Taiwan. This will increase the existing tariffs on solar cells and modules made from these originating in China from about 30 % to about 50 %. At the same time, tariffs of about 20% will apply to solar cells from Taiwan and modules containing Taiwanese cells.
These measures will enter into force on 01.02.2015 and will initially remain valid for 5 years. This decision, initiated by European companies, is in line with the anti-dumping duties in force in the EU.
