Implementing Regulation VO (EU) No 2015/1559 of 18 September 2015 imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on imports of ductile cast iron tubes (also known as nodular graphite cast iron) originating in India. The goods are currently classified under CN codes ex 7303 00 10 and ex 7303 00 90 (TARIC codes 7303 00 10 10, 7303 00 90 10).
Ductile pipes in sizes from 6 cm to 2 m and in lengths of 5.5, 6.7 or 8 m are usually lined with cement or other materials and externally coated with zinc, painted or wrapped in foil. They are used for drinking water supply, sewage disposal and irrigation of agricultural land.
The anti-dumping duty rate is in principle 31,2 %. A company-specific anti-dumping duty rate of 15.3% applies to products manufactured by Electrosteel Casting Ltd when a commercial invoice with certain information is presented. The provisional anti-dumping duty will apply for an initial period of six months. A definitive anti-dumping duty could subsequently be imposed.
