On 16 June 2016, Dr. Tristan Wegner gave a lecture at a major German transport liability insurance company on the subject of“Transport claims processing in customs law – practical cases you should know”.
In his presentation, Dr. Wegner explained how customs clearance takes place in the European Union, what liability forwarders are exposed to and how customs claims can be fended off or errors in the international transport chain can be passed on.
The staff training was a complete success, because “I had not expected such a great interest in this topic and it shows how important these topics are also in claims processing,” said Dr. Wegner, lawyer, after the event.
