On Wednesday, April 24, 2013 the seminar “Law in Transport Logistics” of Logis.net will take place. On the premises of RWE Westfalen-Weser-Ems AG, attorneys will speak to decision-makers in the transport industry on current developments and typical problems in transport law.
For O&W, Ronald Wegner, a lawyer from Hamburg, is on site as a speaker. Mr Wegner will give a presentation on “Underestimated liability risks for freight forwarders: three problems you should know”. The presentation will deal with liability risks that are not commonplace and therefore unknown to many. However, their damage potential is considerable in some cases. The lecture will focus on three main topics:
- General average large, the unknown being – problems for the freight forwarder,
- Risks in customs clearance,
- Threatening liability risks that are often not insured
Transport law and maritime law have traditionally been the focus of O&W’s activities. For over 25 years, the lawyers in Hamburg have been advising trading companies, insurance companies and transporters in this field.
