Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 360/2014 of 9 April 2014 imposes definitive anti-dumping duties following an expiry review on imports of ferro-silicon originating in the People’s Republic of China and the Russian Federation. The products concerned are currently classified under CN codes 7202 21 00, 7202 29 10 and 7202 29 90. The anti-dumping duty rates are in principle 31.2% for imports from China and 22.7% for imports from Russia.
A definitive anti-dumping duty was already imposed in 2008. As it was threatened to expire, Euroalliages, on behalf of European producers of ferro-silicon, requested an expiry investigation to maintain the anti-dumping duties.
Pending evidence that the conditions of the anti-dumping measure are not met, the definitive anti-dumping duty will remain in force for an initial period of five years.
We will be happy to advise you whether you are affected by this measure and how you can avoid it if necessary!
