Attorney Dr. Tristan Wegner will be interviewed on September 3, 2014 as part of the DVZ telephone campaign on legal risks associated with cargo handling.

In particular, the question will be how liability is distributed during cargo handling and what the parties must take into account – also with regard to the reform of the maritime law.

Handling is probably the most risky business in the entire transport process. The loading process often involves a greater risk of damage than the subsequent transport itself.

Pure transport generally involves a risk of accident or theft. The risks involved in handling, on the other hand, are many and varied. Defective stowage, loading or improper handling Load securing can lead to damage to the goods or the vehicle itself.
