Soon higher anti-dumping duties on solar glass?

Last year, the European Union imposed anti-dumping duties on solar glass from China. We reported that the furniture industry will also be affected if they install clear glass.

Currently there is movement in the anti-dumping duties on solar glass. On 19.12.2014 a Communication of the European Commission was published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJ C 457/2014), according to which the anti-dumping investigations concerning imports of solar glass from the People’s Republic of China will be resumed.

In this respect, it was found that export prices for solar glass from the People’s Republic of China have recently fallen significantly, which may have considerably increased the dumping margin. In this respect, the need to increase anti-dumping duties is currently under review. The maximum anti-dumping duties can be doubled.
