Arbitration Court of the Polish Chamber of Commerce has adopted new rules of arbitration

The Arbitration Court of the Polish Chamber of Commerce (Sąd Arbitrażowy przy Krajowej Izbie Gospodarczej – SAKIG) has been subject to new arbitration rules since 01.01.2015. The purpose of the version published in Polish and English is to make arbitration proceedings more time- and cost-efficient.

The recast concerns in particular the following points:

  • Liaison of arbitration proceedings
  • Involvement of additional parties
  • Composition of the Arbitral Tribunal
  • Order of provisional measures
  • Duration of the procedure
  • Language of proceedings and place of arbitration
  • Costs of the proceedings (in particular lawyer’s fees)
