Anti-subsidy process for ductile cast iron originating in India

The European Commission has opened anti-subsidy proceedings against imports of ductile cast iron pipes (also known as nodular graphite cast iron). The product concerned is that originating in India.

The product concerned is classified under CN codes ex 7303 00 10 and ex 7303 00 90.

The allegation is that state subsidies have been substantial and have had a negative impact on companies in the European Union.

It will therefore remain to be seen whether an anti-subsidy duty will be imposed on the above-mentioned product. The investigation will be completed within 13 months. Provisional measures may also be introduced within nine months of the publication of this Notice.
