CETA will be applied provisionally with immediate effect

The European Union recently published the date of provisional applicability of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) with Canada in EU Official Journal L 238/9. The legislative processes for the agreement in the EU and Canada were completed in February and May 2017 and will now be applied provisionally from 21 September 2017.
